AGRIFISH Council: call for reinforcing its Bioeconomy conclusions

Brussels, March 2023 - Under the Swedish Presidency, the Agriculture and Fisheries Council of Ministers will hold a meeting on 25 April 2023. It is expected to adopt conclusions on "the opportunities of the bioeconomy in the light of the current challenges".
Over the last years, the Covid pandemic and the war in Ukraine have made even more blatant the positive contribution that the bioeconomy can offer to enhance Europe's sustainability, climate neutrality and strategic autonomy (in particular for resources and energy).
BioChem Europe's members, joined by the European Fermentation Group (EFG) and by the European Oleochemicals and Allied Products Group (APAG), are welcoming the forthcoming conclusions while calling for reinforcing them.
